Frequently asked questions
How the Fund works, who runs it and how to get involved.
What is the Ukraine Transport Support Fund?
A multi-donor fund that pools contributions from participating countries and channels them into specific projects to repair, maintain and modernise Ukraine’s transport system across road, rail, water and air.
Who decides which projects are funded?
Ukraine sets the priorities and coordinates implementation. Ukraine has submitted a priority list of projects, each sized at roughly €0.5–30 million. The Fund’s management committee leads its operational work.
Who manages the money?
Lithuania’s Central Project Management Agency (CPVA) administers the Fund, overseeing procurement, project delivery and the use of resources.
How is the Fund different from larger financing institutions?
It is designed to move faster and in a more targeted way, based on Ukraine’s immediate needs, while coordinating with the international financial institutions already active in Ukraine. It follows the model of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
